I Finally Made a YouTube!

A few days ago I made my very first YouTube video, which was a pretty nerve-racking experience for someone as shy as me. However, I managed to push through my shyness and film a video. My first video was just a short introduction video where I answered a few questions. I talked about how I got into the doll collecting hobby and what I liked about this hobby.

In my second video I gave a tour of my mouse house. I showed off all the little bits and pieces that were handmade as well as the items I purchased. Almost everything in my mouse house was handmade, only a few items were bought.

Then, in my most recent video I discussed Edmond and Eglantine's back story. It isn't very complicated right now, but I am still working on it and I want it to be perfect.

Thank you for reading and watching. Feel free to subscribe to my YouTube, I will mostly be posting doll related videos, but I would also like to do some reviews of my online purchases!

New Clothes for Saiko!

I picked up this huge pack of Barbie clothes the other day at ToysRUs. They were way overpriced and honestly I wouldn't have purchased them if I hadn't been confused about the price. However, I am fairly happy with the purchase, I like more outfits than hate so that is good. Most of them fit nicely as well, but most of the shoes do not work. unfortunately, because of Saiko's feet.

My favorite outfit out of the pack is the yellow tank top with orange pants. It is absolutely adorable on her and it fits almost perfectly. I love everything about this little outfit so much! Well, maybe not the shoes, but at least the purse is cute. Forgive me for her wonky arm, I didn't realize it until I started making this post, oops!

My least favorite outfit is the purple one, it looks like a pajama set, to be completely honest. The pants do not fit right because of the stitching on the leg that is too tight to fit past Saiko's calf. The shirt on the other hand is terribly awkward, its way too long and weird around the waist. Perhaps if I can get the pants to fit, I will just use the outfit as pajamas or lazy wear.

Now for my second least favorite outfit, the sunglasses dress. This dress is hideous, it is definitely not my style at all. The designers didn't even take the time to continue the pattern on the back, they just left it yellow and plain. It fits nicely, but it is just way too hideous to even consider using.

The shiny pink dress just screams Barbie and I love it a lot more than I thought I would. It fits a little big but the cuteness makes up for that.

The floral and pink gingham outfit is cute, unfortunately it doesn't fit Saiko as well as I thought it might, it's just not her style at all. The fit is a bit wonky, but other than that it looks really cute on. The top even has a button or a brooch sewn on for added detail, it is also a nice touch.

The last outfit I tried on her is the golden dress, which probably has the best quality out of all the others. The sleeves are a fabric that reminds me of velvet, with little golden embellishments, and the dress itself is a really soft and shiny material. The dress also fits super tight, but it doesn't have a "too small" look to it.

Most of the shoes in this outfit pack either did not fit or I had to take her foot off to put them on. I am not that upset about this because most of the shoes were not that cute anyways. I did like a lot of the purses that came in this pack though. My favorites are the pink shoulder bag and the blue purse that is shaped like a bow.

Tell me which outfit is your favorite in the comments? Thanks for reading!

What I'm Ordering from Hamee Strapya World!

I have been really wanting to order a package from Hamee Strapya World for quite awhile now, but I could never make up my mind on what to order, but I have finally decided. I am ordering three key chains for myself and a super adorable stuffed animal for Saiko.

I am ordering some super adorable key chains, or cell phone straps, which I cannot wait to put on my phone! I ordered a squid, a cow, and a realistic fried egg, all of these are really cute and I cannot wait to see them! The Soft and Downy Mini Squid was only $3.60 and I think that I ordered the last one because it is now sold out. The Lovely Round Cow was a only ten cents more than the squid, it looks a little bit bigger so that might be why. The Fried Egg cell phone strap is the biggest that I ordered and is the most expensive, it is $5.20, which is actually a reasonable price.

I also ordered a tiny little plush giant isopod, which was only $2.60. It looks so adorable and I can't wait to see Saiko cuddle with it. Giant isopods are one of my favorite animals and it is Saiko's absolute favorite, which is why I decided to buy it for her!

I am so excited for my order to get here!! Thanks for reading!

My Very First Re-Ment Boxes!

My package from Modes4U arrived yesterday and I was so excited and surprised to see it! I wasn't expecting it to get here so soon, but I am thankful it did! The re-ment box that I ordered was part of the Mickey and Minnie Mini Stationary set, which are basically little school supplies or office supplies. However, my boyfriend, who ordered the package for me, bought me a surprise box as well! He ordered me the Hello Kitty Cherry Blossom set, which has all kinds of Japanese food dishes.

I opened up the Hello Kitty Cherry Blossom box first, because I wanted to see which food dish I received. This dish includes some shaved ice with whipped cream on top and some kind of beverage, maybe soda. I absolutely love the platter and the details on it, as well as the spoon with the tiny Hello Kitty at the end. Even the cup has Hello Kitty's face engraved into it.

Now for the other box that arrived! The box that I got out of the Mickey and Minnie Mini Stationary set had little paints inside. The paint that had Mickey's face on it had blue paint spilling out of it and the pink paint, with Minnie, was closed up. These adorable paints were actually the main reason I wanted to buy a box from this set.

Unfortunately the paints are a little too big for Saiko, so I am not sure what I will do with them. However the shaved ice is the perfect size for her!

Thank you for reading, let me know how you liked these boxes!

Outfit Variations

Yesterday afternoon after I posted my review on the Barbie clothes that I bought I played around with them some more. Basically I just mixed and matched the two outfits. The results weren't that horrible actually. Of course the pink sweater looks really cute with the jeans and it will work perfectly for cooler weather. However the red polka dot shirt looks terrible with skirt, which I expected it too. The pink and blue on the skirt just look incredibly tacky with the shirt. I am only slightly disappointed but I am thankful that I at least have three outfits out of a two outfit set.

Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse Clothes

Yesterday I bought a set of Barbie clothes that were based on clothes from Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse, which is an animated Barbie show. There were two outfits in the pack as well as a purse, a camera, and shoes that matched. The price was about $12 for everything, which I think is a bit expensive, but it does come with two outfits and accessories.

I bought these outfits for my doll Saiko who was in desperate need of some real clothes. She is a 27cm Obitsu doll and I have read that most Barbie clothes fit this size doll.

She tried on the red and white polka dot outfit first. The shirt fit a little bit weird because of Saiko's chest, however it doesn't look that bad. However it does have the annoying habit of sliding up so that it is sitting just under her chin. The sleeves are also cut a bit weird, the right side is a bit longer than the left.

As for the pants, they fit well, but they are just a bit too big for her waist. Like most Barbie clothes the pants enjoy sliding down on her backside whenever she sits down, which is incredibly annoying but it does not ruin the pants for me. The shoes that match this outfit do not fit at all. They will slide onto her feet, but it looks very unnatural and since her foot is not made for high heels, it just doesn't work.

Now for the second outfit, which happens to be my favorite and the main reason I bought this set of clothes. The sweater fits really nicely and looks cozy, unfortunately the left sleeve is slightly longer than the right, but it isn't noticeable. The skirt is way to big, but since the sweater is a bit tighter on the bottom it holds the skirt up perfectly. The shoes fit a lot better than the other pair, possibly because of the strap and the fact that they seem slightly larger.

I am actually very happy with this purchase. Both outfits are adorable and perfect for the summertime. I will definitely be picking up more Barbie outfits if I can find some that are cute like these! Thank you for reading!

XOXO Hello Kitty Mini Play Kit by Blip at Target Part Two

Now, for my review of the Baking Fun set! Overall, I definitely prefer this set over the Bloom and Grow set, mainly because of the items. Each item was uniquely adorable and they seemed to have a bit more detail than the items in the other set. The set came with a little oven mitt, a cherry pie, and even a carton of eggs. My very favorite item in the set was the Hello Kitty shaped mixer, it is so cute and detailed.

I only found two items that I was slightly upset about and those were a jar of sugar and, what I am assuming, is a trash can. The sticker on the trash can was put on crooked and already peeling up. It was also nothing like it was in the picture, which showed that it had real details instead of just a sticker. As for the jar of sugar, the designers must have gotten lazy. Instead of taking the few extra seconds to have the sugar inside colored white, they decided to leave it hot pink. Even the small letters on the front that say sugar blend in to the hot pink of the jar. I will probably repaint this item along with some from the Bloom and Grow set.

I will be sure to post some pictures of these items in my mouse house as well as pictures of the items that I am planning on repainting. Thank you for reading!

XOXO Hello Kitty Mini Play Kit by Blip at Target

I've been wanting some of these for quite a long time now! I saw TheHollycopter's post about them and immediately fell in love with them. They seemed like a much cheaper alternative to re-ments, or just a cute toy very similar to re-ments.

I purchased, the only two Mini Play Kit's that are being sold at Target currently, the Bloom and Grow set and the Baking Fun set. Target had these on clearance for only $3.99 instead of the original $7.99 price. So, this was definitely a great time to pick these up for myself.

The first box I opened was the Bloom and Grow set, which had 36 individual pieces as well as a surprise gift inside. Each piece was really cute and detailed, although it wasn't super detailed like a re-ment. Some pieces were just a solid color, even over Hello Kitty symbols, or had colors that had spread too far. The tiny snail had the worst coloring of all the items, but some paint and a tiny paintbrush will fix it easily. My favorite item was the tiny little greenhouse shaped like Hello Kitty's head.

The wind chimes as well as the hanging flower pot could have used some extra colors to make them stand out a little bit better, since both items are really unique and adorable. As for the rack, I am very disappointed with this. It is all painted the same hideous magenta color and it even leans slightly forward, if I don't repaint it, I will probably just put it in one of my many junk drawers.

My review of the Baking Fun set will be up soon!
