I love toys, miniatures, dolls, crafts, and lots more. With this blog I am planning on discussing my dolls, as well as products that I have purchased or handmade for them. I will also be posting reviews among other things from time to time. Thank you for visiting!
I really love going to my local Renaissance Faire and I cannot wait until the next one. Lately I have been wondering how I could bring Saiko with me. I finally came up with an idea that I am really really excited about.
In one of my favorite stories, Peter Pan, the evil Captain Hook always captures Tinkerbell in a cage. This gave me an idea for Saiko, she can be a little fairy that I have captured! I am not sure where I can find a cage, or a jar, that will fit her, but still be a comfortable size for me to carry.
I've already started on her costume, even though I've still got months until the next Faire. I made her wings about a week ago, but I haven't decided how to make her dress. I would like for her dress to be made out of leaves and look like she made it herself.
I have so many different ideas for her outfit and I cannot wait to see it finished. Thank you for reading, let me know how you like them!
The vintage pool play set that I ordered about a week ago finally arrived last Wednesday. I was super excited and I even filmed myself opening the box, in my PAJAMAS! I didn't put it together in the video I made, so I will probably make a video later of what it looks like all set up!
After I finished the video, I went to my backyard and filled the pool up with water! It looked absolutely perfect and it even had the same weird smell that most above ground pools have. All of the pieces are adorable and fit Saiko perfectly. The only mess up that I found was on the umbrella, which looks like it might have melted on the way over, I am not sure. Luckily a little painting will cover it up perfectly.
This play set came with a lot of awesome accessories! There are floats, a beach ball, some chairs, a cooler, and much more! Saiko fits in the chairs perfectly, however the lounge chair is a bit short. She can even fit on the float and inside the ring.
There were even some adorable little cups and plates inside the cooler! I found a bunch of beads that look like ice and filled the cooler up with them, so now it looks like there is real ice inside of the cooler! I cannot wait to take it to the beach now for more pictures!
I am very happy that I went ahead and purchased this before someone else did. I was debating on whether or not I should buy it for a few days but I finally decided on this one and definitely don't regret that decision.
Thank you for reading, let me know how you like this pool play set?
I actually posted a YouTube video where I opened up my package and showed each set. However I have since uploaded pictures to my Flickr of each set in detail.
Here is the YouTube video of my re-ment box opening.
Since this was my very first complete box, I was super excited to open it up! First of all, the box is absolutely adorable and even comes with a little paper foldable on the box. There are also some really cute pictures of the set paired with the re-ment desk which makes me want the desk even more.
As for the pieces, they were all incredibly detailed and cute. Each piece was unique and some even looked like real-life items had been shrunk down. The only problem I had with this set is that some of the details, such as on the bento box and mug, are actually just stickers. I, personally, hate this a lot because the stickers peel up and make it look a bit unrealistic. I took pictures of each individual box instead of the complete set jumbled together.

I took Saiko to the beach today and wow did we have a blast! She looked really adorable and sweet in her new bathing suit. I even brought a little chair and a pail of cold drinks for her. The next time I go to Michael's I will have to buy her some buckets so that she can build a sandcastle.
Here are some of my favorite pictures that I took of her today!
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed my pictures!
Today I finally ordered Saiko her very first kimono from an Ebay seller. It is actually made for a Takara Jenny Doll which are exactly the same size as Saiko, who is 27cm. I have been really interested in a Takara Doll for a long time because of how incredibly adorable they are.
The kimono I ordered was only $12 which is a really good price. The colors even match the sandals that I purchased for Saiko a little while ago. I think that the colors will look really pretty on Saiko and I cannot wait to get it.
I think that the next time I get paid I will probably buy my very first Takara Doll. I can't decide between Jenny or Licca though. They both have such adorable outfits and accessories. Here are some of my favorite items and dolls.
Thank you for reading! Let me know which Takara Doll is your favorite!
I am absolutely in love with both of my new re-ments that came in the mail...about a week ago, maybe. Both boxes were equally adorable and I was very happy with what I received. They were both very nice quality and there were thankfully no scratches to be seen. I was also super glad to find that both boxes were the perfect size for Saiko, there was only one item that doesn't really fit.
In the Rilakkuma Relax Dishes box that I received I got a really adorable dish. It included a bowl, with Rilakkuma's face, some rice shaped like a bear, and a cute little egg to put on top. There was also what seemed like a milk carton, a Kiiroitori shaped container, and Rilakkuma holding some cheese, or bread. I really love everything in this box so much because of how adorable everything is, just look at the little Rilakkuma!!
As for the Hello Kitty Drug Store box that came, it is just as amazing. It has some shampoo and conditioner, some body wash, and even what I think is a scrub brush. The only item that is too small is, what I have been told, is a face mask. It definitely will not fit around her head, but it will look really cute as a prop or a background accessory.
A few days ago I ordered what will be my very first complete re-ment set from HarapekoDoggyBag and this is my first time ordering from this site. I ordered the Hello Kitty Elementary Student set for about thirty dollars. I was going to order it from Modes4U but the price was so drastically different that I went with HarapekoDoggy Bag. I cannot wait to get this set, my fingers are crossed that everything fits Saiko, or my mice.
Let me know how you liked the boxes I received! Thank you for reading!
After almost a month of having a blank face, Saiko's eyes finally arrived a couple days ago! I ordered a nice and simple pair of green decal eyes from JunkySpot along with some shoes and socks for her. The shipping took a little bit longer than usual and I am not exactly sure why, but I don't mind that much. I was so shocked to see that it arrived, especially since my boyfriend had lied and told me that it hadn't.
I used like three different tutorials to help me with putting her eyes on and I was still super nervous that I would mess them up. For my first time using decals I actually did a pretty good job. My biggest problem was the eyebrows because they kept scraping off for some reason. I don't have any idea how I can fix them so she will have to have some funky eyebrows for a while.
Based on my experience with the decals and how annoying they were I still think that I would rather use them then paint a face onto a doll. I tried that once with an old Bratz doll and...woah it was hhorrible!! So, for anyone that is looking into buying their first doll and don't trust their ability to paint a tiny face, I definitely think that decals are the way to go! Of course you'd still have to paint some kind of mouth on your doll, but that doesn't seem too difficult. I think that all I need to do for Saiko's mouth is a little bit of blushing on her lips. I definitely don't want her to have an makeup or cheek blushing, I just want her to have a simple face for now.
Thank you for reading!! Please comment telling me your opinion on Saiko's new eyes!
